The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Singapore (CILTS) is one of the leading professional bodies for those engaged in logistics, transport and physical distribution – covering all sections of the industry; namely, land, sea, air and logistics, for both passengers and freight transportation.
CILTS is part of CILT-International, a worldwide organisation and is one of Asia pre-eminent education, training and knowledge providers.
Pioneering e-learning CILT Singapore now offers a range of industry recognized education programs such as Supply Chain Professional Development (SCPD) Programme, Certified Professional Logistician via Logistics Professional Development (LPD) Programme and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programmes.
As one of the world’s first logistics e-learning initiatives, the SCPD Programme provides a flexible, self-paced, Internet-based approach for logistics professionals to upgrade themselves. The LPD Programme is a classroom-based programme where professionals attend an intensive 4-month class lectured by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) professors.
After completing the LPD Examination, suitably qualified candidates can move on to attempt the “Certified Professional Logistician” (CPL) Examination. CPD Programmes are short courses ideal for the busy logistics professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills the busy logistics professionals.

Knowledge Centre
CILTS provides its members a comprehensive Knowledge Centre.
Members can find white papers, reports, journals and other publication materials pertaining to both logistics and transport in Singapore and globally.
Our Knowledge Centre contains a series of up to date case studies that are available for members can use in their research, along with conference, seminars reports and articles delivered by prominent speakers and established professionals.
CILTS Membership
CILTS offers five membership grades with admission dependant on the individual education qualification and practical working experience.
The five CILTS membership grades are:
- Student;
- Affiliate;
- Member;
- Chartered Member;
- Chartered Fellow;

The Singapore Group was formed in 1971. This Group was converted into a Section in 1986 and to National Council in 1991.
Objectives
- To promote, encourage and co-ordinate the study and advancement of the science and art of logistics and transport through the organization and conduct of appropriate activities and services.
- To do research into the best means of developing and improving logistics, transport and physical distribution by every practical means in the best interest of the community.
To educate men and women engaged in logistics, transport or physical distribution, or in any of the many activities connected with the movement of people or goods, so that they may acquire the knowledge they need to obtain the Institute's qualifications
