About the Company

AOICS™ exists to foster professionalism in manufacturing and associated supply chain activities, through the services we provide both to our members and Australian Industry.

 

Our goal is to continue to set the standard as the recognise Australian leader and premier provider of resource management and purchasing education and information for individuals and organisations.  We have been active in Australia since 1963 with a steadily increasing membership, including companies that are acknowledged leaders in their fields.


We are a non-profit organisation that facilitates the exchange and advancement of practical knowledge, ideas and techniques in the field of production, inventory management and purchasing by education and interaction.


Established throughout Australia, apics™ is an international associate of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS). 

In addition to the five Australian apics™ Chapters our association with the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) provides our members with the opportunity to forge close ties with international organisations based in New Zealand, the United States, South America, Europe, Ireland and Asia.

apics™ offers memberships at the individual and corporate levels

Membership of the Society provides:

  • Site visits, to broaden perspective
  • Publication, continuing the flow of information


Membership of apics™ is open to individuals or organisations involved or interested in the spheres of production, inventory control, distribution of products, purchasing and materials management.

By bringing together professionals with a common concern, apics™ seeks to advance knowledge and promote understanding among manufacturing and distribution management.


There are two levels of membership:

As a member of apics™ you will have the chance to share your experience and knowledge with others in your profession. Monthly meetings enable you to hear guest speakers who are experts in their field and make valuable contacts among fellow professionals.


Networking through workshops, seminars, lectures, discussion groups, plant visits, conferences and overseas study tours are arranged on a regular basis so you can learn how companies like your own handle problems, cut costs, increase profits and provide for growth through production and inventory control methods.


Educational Programs
cover specific subject areas in your field, keep you up-to-date with the latest developments and promote a professional approach. Programs are designed to assist in your day-to-day work and in obtaining qualifications recognised internationally.
